Course Overview

The 1st Athens Upper Limb Plastic Surgery Cadaver Course is a focused, hands-on educational event organized by the Hellenic Society of Plastic Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgery (HESPRAS), in collaboration with the Department of Anatomy, School of Medicine, National & Kapodistrian University of Athens.

Conducted at the Department of Anatomy, School of Medicine, National & Kapodistrian University of Athens, the course combines detailed anatomical dissection with practical surgical concepts relevant to upper limb plastic and reconstructive surgery. Participants train through supervised dissection on fresh-frozen cadaveric specimens, with two participants per specimen, allowing for extensive hands-on experience, optimal anatomical exposure and precise surgical practice.

The course is designed to strengthen anatomical understanding, refine surgical planning and enhance technical skills in procedures involving the upper limb. Through focused cadaveric training, participants gain a deeper understanding of surgical anatomy and operative approaches, supporting safer, more precise and more predictable surgical outcomes.
